Broadway Review: THE OTHER PLACE

In The Other Place, playwright Sharr White slowly and painstakingly reveals the duress of a woman coping with the tragedy of a decreasing mental acuity and the trauma of having lost a daughter who ran away as a teenager.  She moves back and forth between a life that was, a life that almost was and a life that never was.

Broadway Review: AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE

The Manhattan Theatre Club revival of Henrik Ibsen’s  An Enemy of the People is riveting in its relevancy.  Lynne Meadow’s decision to do this piece at this time shows keen foresight. As the country gears up for an election that is remarkable in its contrast between the haves and the have-nots, An Enemy of the People speaks directly to our time through man’s fickleness, gullibility and willingness to go along to get along.
