Get Bullets Over Broadway Tickets

Producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg today announced a General Rush policy for preview performances of BULLETS OVER BROADWAY. For each preview, a limited number of orchestra Rush tickets will be available each morning when the box office opens at 10 AM. Rush tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $37 each, with a limit of two tickets per person.

Directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award® winner Susan Stroman, the world premiere production of the new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film. BULLETS OVER BROADWAY will begin preview performances on Tuesday, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY features Brooks Ashmanskas (The Producers) as “Warner Purcell,” Golden Globe® and Emmy Award nominee Zach Braff (“Scrubs,” Garden State) as “David Shayne,” Nick Cordero (Rock of Ages) as “Cheech,” Tony Award® nominee Marin Mazzie (Passion; Ragtime; Kiss Me, Kate) as “Helen Sinclair,” Vincent Pastore (“The Sopranos”) as “Nick Valenti,” Betsy Wolfe (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as “Ellen,” Lenny Wolpe (The Drowsy Chaperone) as “Julian Marx,” Heléne Yorke (Grease) as “Olive Neal” and Tony Award® winner Karen Ziemba (Contact) as “Eden Brent.”

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY will also feature Clyde Alves (Nice Work if You Can Get It), Jim Borstelmann (Chaplin), Preston Truman Boyd (Big Fish), Janet Dickinson (How The Grinch Stole Christmas), Bryn Dowling (Big Fish), Kim Fauré (Anything Goes), Paige Faure (Cinderella), Casey Garvin (Bare), Kelcy Griffin (Broadway debut), Dan Horn (Cinderella), Sarah Lin Johnson (Broadway debut), Andy Jones (Cinderella), Amanda Kloots-Larsen (Follies), Kevin Ligon (The Chosen), Synthia Link (Big Fish), Brittany Marcin (Anything Goes), Paul McGill (La Cage aux Folles), James Moye (Million Dollar Quartet), Beth Johnson Nicely (Irving Berlin’s White Christmas), Eric Santagata (Chaplin) and Kevin Worley (Cinderella).

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY tells the story of an aspiring young playwright (Braff), newly arrived on Broadway in 1920’s New York, who is forced to cast a mobster's (Pastore) talentless girlfriend (Yorke) in his latest drama in order to get it produced.

The Award-winning design team of Broadway veterans features Santo Loquasto (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), Paul Huntley (wig and hair design), William Berloni (animal training), Glen Kelly (music supervision and adaptation / additional Lyrics), Doug Besterman (orchestrations) and Andy Einhorn (music direction / conductor and vocal arrangements). The Broadway production of BULLETS OVER BROADWAY will feature existing music of the period.

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is produced by Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg and co-produced by Edward Walson, Leroy Schecter, Roy Furman, Broadway Across America, Just for Laughs Theatricals/Jacki Barlia Florin, Harold Newman and Jujamcyn Theaters and associate producer Don't Speak, LLC.

Performance schedule:

  • March 11 through April 13: Monday-Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, dark Sunday. No Wednesday matinee on March 12 & 19. Opening Night performance on April 10 is at 6pm.
  • Beginning April 14: Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 3pm, dark Monday.

Andrew C. McGibbon

 

 

Andrew C. McGibbon has spent the past thirty years working in live theatre as a stage manager, general manager, producer and leader in the convergence of Broadway and online.

Mr. McGibbon worked as a stage manager and general manager for ten years. In 1994 he created a website devoted to live theatre, BroadwayWorld-Wide.com. The site was subsequently bought by, and became Playbill.com. He continued to manage the site for Playbill for four years. In 2000 he became the website manager for TonyAwards.com. With the 2008-09 season he finished his ninth year on the show. He has also worked as a webmaster for the Broadway LeagueJazz at Lincoln Center, and as the Director of Digital Media for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Since 2015, Andrew has been working as an architectural photographer and virtual tour photographer known for his photography of theatres such as the Kimmel Center, Tanglewood, Signature Theatre Company, Roundabout Theatre Company, Arena Stage and the Goodspeed Opera House.

Mr. McGibbon is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association, the Independent Theatre Bloggers AssociationActors' Equity Association and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, as well as the American Society of Media Photographers

In addition to his work in the theatrical industry, Mr. McGibbon is also a partner in Simple Solutions Distributing, a manufacturer of filtration equipment for the waste-water industry.
