Buyer & Cellar star Michael Urie is set to perform the play in Los Angeles at the Mark Taper Forum and in Chicago with Broadway in Chicago in 2014. Discussions are currently underway for productions in other cities, including San Francisco, Toronto, and Dallas, among others.
Buyer & Cellar is currently playing an open-ended run at the Barrow Street Theatre where the play continues to break box office records.
The New York Times critics Ben Brantley and Charles Isherwood recently raved about the play. Brantley wrote that Buyer & Cellar is "the most talked about new comedy of the season." Isherwood--on WQXR Radio--called the hit comedy "very funny" and "a tour-de-force performance."
Following the play’s world premiere in April 2013 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, the critics were wowed unanimously. In addition to rave reviews, strong word-of-mouth, and breaking box office records, the comedy has been featured and praised by numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, Daily News, New York Post, The New York Observer, Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, New York 1 News, WNBC-TV, and WCBS Radio.
