Marden is currently Vice President of Marketing and Development for Playhouse Productions’ sister company, Above the Title Entertainment, at which she headed its marketing work for shows such as Driving Miss Daisy and Rated P for Parenthood.  Troillett joined the Above the Title Entertainment team in the fall of 2010, after stints at Manhattan Theatre Club and the West Virginia Public Theatre. "We think we have the beginnings of a terrific team, whose combined talents will lead the Playhouse back to its formidable position in the theatre universe," said Jed Bernstein.

BCP’s first production will begin previews on Monday, July 2nd, 73 years and a day after the playhouse first opened in 1939 The second production will begin performances on Tuesday, August 7th. Each production will run for three to four weeks.

In order to generate resources to complete the renovations, the BCP recently introduced a theater membership program and a “Founders Club” program. Membership benefits, which range from “first chance” ticket access and discounts to special offers at local businesses and attractions, cost $80 for individuals, $160 for families, and $500 for businesses.  For more information, and to purchase a membership, visit the new website at www.bcptheater.org or call 215-315-7788.

The “Founders Club” is an attempt to engage a group of uniquely philanthropic individuals to share the goal of returning the Playhouse to its former glory. The hope is to raise $1,000,000 in support of reopening BCP. For more information about the “Founders Club”, call 215-315-7788

Located 90 minutes from New York City, the Bucks County Playhouse opened in 1939 on the site of a grist mill dating from the late eighteenth century. Ironically, the structure was at that time in danger of demolition; however playwright Moss Hart and the local community rallied to save the building and re-opened it as a theatrical venue, which quickly became one of the country’s most famous regional theaters. In continuous operation until December 2010, a veritable who’s who of American theatrical royalty has trod its boards, including Kim Hunter, Helen Hayes, Kitty Carlisle, Colleen Dewhurst, Shirley Booth, Lillian Gish, June Lockhart, Grace Kelly, Robert Redford, Bert Lahr, Leslie Nielsen and Walter Matthau.
