(New York, NY –September 13, 2011)  Universal Pictures Stage ProductionsWorking Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that Myles Erlick and Jack Broderick will join the cast of the 10-time Tony Award winning Billy Elliot the Musical in the roles of ‘Billy’ and ‘Michael,’ respectively.  Erlick, a native of Burlington, Ontario, started his journey as one of the original ‘Billys’ in the Toronto production of Billy Elliot.  He will be the fifteenth ‘Billy’ to perform on Broadway.  Broderick has previously played the role of ‘Michael’ in both the Chicago and Toronto productions of Billy Elliot.  Current ‘Michael,’ Neil McCaffrey will play his final performance Sunday, September 25 at 7:30pm.    And current ‘Billy,’ Giuseppe Bausilio will play his final performance on Sunday, October 9 at 7:30 pm.

MYLES ERLICK (Billy) is 13 years old and from Burlington, Ontario. His training began at Stars Academy and, recently, Canada’s National Ballet School. Myles’ passion for the arts led him to various television and theatre roles, recently as Billy in Toronto’s production of Billy Elliot, an actor on the Canadian TV series “Flashpoint,” and one of four children cast in the Toronto tour of the Charlottetown festival’s Anneof Green Gables. Myles would like to thank his teachers, friends and family who have supported him on his journey to Billy Elliot. He is thrilled to take the stage in this magnificent production and will proudly tell anyone he meets that he was “Born to Boogie!”

JACK BRODERICK (Michael) is thrilled to join the cast of Billy Elliot on Broadway!  Recent credits include Billy Elliot in Toronto and Chicago,Peter Pan at The Paper Mill Playhouse, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular National Tour; TV – “30 Rock;” Commercial – “SunnyD.” Jack is happiest when he is on stage singing, dancing or acting!  Thanks to Nora Brennan, Marianna Karpatova, Parkside Talent and Barry Kolker. Love to his sister Kerry, his parents, family and friends. None of this would have been possible without their support and encouragement along the way!! Billy Elliot the Musical, the show that Time Magazine called “The Best Musical of the Decade,” currently stars Emily Skinner (Mrs. Wilkinson), Daniel Jenkins (Dad), Katherine McGrath (Grandma), Patrick Mulvey (Tony), Neil McCaffrey and Cameron Clifford(Michael) and Giuseppe Bausilio, Tade Biesinger, Joseph Harrington, and Peter Mazurowski as ‘Billy.’

Billy Elliot the Musical is the winner of ten 2009 Tony Awards including Best Musical features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry.

Billy Elliot is the joyous celebration of one boy’s journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising talent that inspires his family and his whole community and changes his life forever.
