In honor of its 8th Anniversary on Broadway, the blockbuster musical Wickedwill host a month-long roster of activities and promotions throughout the month of October, culminating on “Wicked Day,” Sunday, October 30, with a special, one-time only “Ultimate Encore Performance.”
In a first for Broadway, Wickedis inviting its fans to vote on their favorite song from the musical, which will then be performed by the current Broadway cast immediately following the matinee. The one-time-only performance will also be available for viewing via Facebook that evening for Wickedfans across the globe. Beginning performances on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, JACKIE BURNS and CHANDRA LEE SCHWARTZ will assume the roles of Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the Broadway cast of Wicked. Ms. Burns and Ms. Schwartz come to Broadway directly from Wicked’s First National Tour. The Broadway company currently features Richard H. Blake as Fiyero, Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible, Tom McGowan as The Wizard, Etai BenShlomo as Boq, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, and Tom Flynn as Dr. Dillamond.
JACKIE BURNS appeared on Broadway in Hair where she was a part of the ‘Black Boys’ trio. Off-Broadway, she was a member of the original company of Rock of Ages andthe award-winning Unlock’d for NYMF. Jackie has performed at many regional theaters and received the Connecticut Critics Circle Award for Grand Night For Singing. She can also be heard on the concept album “Swept Away” (Disney) and Frank Wildhorn’s latest, “Tears From Heaven,” with Linda Eder.
CHANDRA LEE SCHWARTZ has appeared on Broadway in Gypsy with Bernadette Peters, as Penny in Hairspray, and Sharpay in Disney's High School Musical. In 2007 she was nominated for a Barrymore Award for Nerds, the Musical. Her other credits include Lola in PCLO's production of Copacabana and Meghan in NYMF production of But I'm a Cheerleader.

The upcoming season finale of the hit Fox comedy “Glee” will feature scenes filmed on the stage of the Broadway blockbuster musical, WICKED.
In the episode, the McKinley High School’s glee club “New Directions” travels from Lima, Ohio to New York City to compete in the national glee club competition. While taking in the sights of New York City, Rachel and Kurt (played by Lea Michele and Chris Colfer) sneak onto the stage of the Broadway blockbuster Wicked to perform one of the show’s hit songs, “For Good.”
The episode airs on Tuesday, May 24th (9:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., ET) on the FOX Television Network.
