Winners Announced for 13th Annual Audience Choice Awards



 (New York, NY – May 14, 2012) The 13th Annual Audience Choice Awards, the only major theatrical prize awarded solely by votes cast online by audience members, celebrated Broadway’s best in a star studded ceremony last night at The Allen Room in Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center on Broadway at 60th Street, New York City.  Darren Criss hosted while Nick Adams, Tammy Blanchard, Brian d’Arcy James, Judith Light, Adam Pascal and Daphne Rubin-Vega honored the winners. 

Newsies and Peter and the Starcatcher took home top honors as Favorite Musical and Play, while Wicked swept the Favorite Long Running Show and Favorite Tour categories.

Death of a Salesman won Favorite Revival and Andrew Garfield came away with Favorite Breakthrough Performance.  Patti LuPone came out on top as Favorite Diva for her turn in   An Evening with Patti LuPone & Mandy Patinkin., and Darren Criss, while taking a break from hosting, received the Favorite Replacement award for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
