Presents

RECALL

By Eliza Clark (P73/SoHo Rep’s Edgewise)

Directed byAdrienne Campbell-Holt (HERE’s Fish Eye, Seven Minutes in Heaven)

NEW YORK RUN:  FRIDAY, JUNE 8 – SATURDAY, JULY 7
OPENING SET FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 12

Is there such a thing as a bad seed?
Close your eyes and count to three.

Lucy's a child, and a child's a person, and people can do the ugliest things. Charlotte's an expert in ugly things. And the bloody, funny, terrible chase is on.

Radically imaginative and achingly plain, RECALL explores our need to feel connected, understood, and loved. No matter the damage, no matter the cost.

Colt Coeur’s inaugural production, Seven Minutes in Heaven, was a New York Times and Time Out New York critic’s pick, and played to sold-out houses in New York and at The Huntington Theatre’s Emerging America Festival in Boston. The play - created with founding member Steven Levenson - has since been published by Playscripts and is receiving productions throughout the country.  The company’s sophomore production, Fish Eye, created collaboratively with playwright Lucas Kavner, was a Time Out New York Critic’s Pick and was featured in New York Magazine’s annual round-up of the best shows of the year.

Colt Coeur is a New York-based theater company dedicated to making original, story-driven, aggressively visceral theater that pulls you close and doesn’t let go.  With its sights set on straddling the all too facile divide between “uptown” and “downtown” theater, Colt Coeur’s first two years have been terrifically successful.

Colt Coeur is a collection of actors, playwrights, and designers dedicated to making theater imbued with the urgency and intensity of the present—plays that respond to and engage with the world in which we live with compassion, humor, ferocity, and an abiding, unapologetic sense of wonder.  With the company’s mission to make immersive, environmental, experiential, unabashedly entertaining theater that explores themes of coming-of-age, of individual and collective identity, of public versus private, of love, lust, and loss, RECALL is the ideal production for Colt Coeur’s third season.

RECALL,written by Eliza Clark, directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, and produced by Stephen Stout.  Performances begin Friday, June 8th at 8pm, at the Wild Project, 195 East 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009. Opening night is set for Tuesday, June 12th at 7pm.  The show must close Saturday, July 7th. Tickets are $25 general admission and may be purchased at Ovationtix or by calling 212.352.3101.
