TO HOST THE 67TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS®

Tony Awards to Broadcast Live from Radio City Music Hall
in New York City on Sunday, June 9th

New York, New York (May 9, 2013) – Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris, star of the CBS comedy “How I Met Your Mother,” returns to host THE 67TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Sunday, June 9 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. This will be Harris’ fourth time hosting the Tony Awards.   Previously, Harris served as the host of the 63rd, 65th and 66th Annual Tony Awards. As he did in 2012, Harris will also act as a producer, along with executive producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment.

Wednesday, May 8, 2013 – Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen, and Ted Snowdon have announced that the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie (“Ugly Betty”), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre for a ten-week engagement beginning Tuesday, June 18, at 7:30pm and opening Monday, June 24.  Tickets go on sale today.

Second Stage Theatre’s Spring Gala celebration will honor The Peter Jay Sharp Foundation, which has been an ongoing supporter of New York City arts and Second Stage Theatre for many years, as well as playwright and filmmaker Paul Weitz, whose plays Privilege, Show People, Trust, and Lonely, I’m Not have all premiered with the off-Broadway company.  The evening will also celebrate the first ten years of Second Stage Uptown and its curator, Christopher Burney, which has become an incubator for many theatre artists in the past decade.  The gala will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Best Buy Theatre, 1515 Broadway at 44th street.  The evening begins with cocktails at 6:00pm; dinner and the performance begin at 7:00pm.

May 8, 2013 – The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that Kevin Kline will reprise his Tony Award-winning role of The Pirate King with Glenn Close as Ruth, Eric Idle as the Sergeant, and Martin Short as Major-General Stanley in the one-night-only concert performance of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE for The Public’s annual gala. Co-chaired by Sir Howard Stringer, Arielle Tepper Madover, and Renée Beaumont, this unforgettable summer evening will also honor the late Nora Ephron who was a long-time board member and consummate lover of The Public’s Shakespeare in the Park.
